Upcoming Important Dates

ALL PTSA events are currently cancelled through April 24. This includes Science Fair, Student Council, Chess Club, and PTSA meetings.

Dear Cougar Ridge Families,

This certainly has been a trying week for our school and community. Thank you for your patience as we have rescheduled and cancelled events as needed. This Blast edition will provide some current PTSA news, but we will not be sending out regular Blast newsletters during the time that school is closed.

In times like these, we recognize the importance of community. We know many of you are looking for ways to support families in need in our area during this difficult period. We would encourage you to donate to the Issaquah Food Bank. Please do not send donations, gift cards, clothing, etc. to the school. Legally they cannot accept these types of donations and simply don’t have the bandwidth to carry out relief services. By donating to the Issaquah Food Bank, you will be indirectly supporting the families that make up your local school community. As you may know, the Issaquah Food Bank is not accepting any personal donations but they do have an Amazon wish list for the specific items they need. They would also appreciate gift cards (both grocery and gas) and cash donations if possible. The Issaquah Food Bank is preparing to potentially support community members that can no longer receive wages due to closures (restaurants, retail, etc.) in the form of rent, utilities, etc. There have unfortunately been some online scams happening, so please make sure to only donate directly on their website.

As always, we are proud to be part of this amazing Cougar Ridge Family. We know that we will all get through this together.

We Love Volunteers!

Volunteers are appreciated and wanted at Cougar Ridge!

All volunteers in Issaquah Schools are required to complete the ANNUAL Volunteer Application for 2019-20 school year. This includes volunteering in your child’s classroom, Art Docent, Camp Warm Beach, or Library time. Click here for instructions and allow one week to process prior to any volunteer time.

Yearbook

Don’t forget to order your yearbook for the 19-20 school year! Did you know that over 90% of our students choose to receive a yearbook? Please click here to pre-order your yearbook now if you have not already. Do not plan on extra yearbooks being available at the end of the year for purchase. Contact Catharine Holtan with any questions. Can’t remember if you have already bought a yearbook? Just contact Catharine and she can let you know!

We need your classroom photos for the yearbook! The 2019-2020 yearbook is due to the publisher in two weeks and the following classrooms still need photos: Mrs. Zaslow, Ms. Hinds, Mrs. Younglove, Mrs. Christensen, and Mrs. Ilgenfritz.  If you have photos to share, please contact Paula Hobbs and she will provide you with an upload link specific to your classroom.
